Adaptive Climbing Group is a community for people with disabilities to have opportunities to inclusively participate in the sport of climbing. Adaptive Climbing is taking the already existing abilities of a person and helping them participate in the sport. The ideas of Kareemah Batts, inspired by her United States climbing experience post amputation, led to the first "NYC Adaptive Climbing Clinic" held on March 15, 2012 at Brooklyn Boulders gym. 38 disabled individuals were introduced to climbing as an accessible sport over 2 days.

We always have and always will remain dedicated to inclusive sportsmanship, adaptive sports, and the community as a whole.  We work together to make sure that adults and children with disabilities are included in this popular initiative.
