New York's famous Empire State Building, a New York City Landmark and a National Historic Landmark is a must-visit place for anyone coming to New York. It is more than a quarter of a mile high. The 86th floor Observatory, 1,050 feet (320 meters), has a glass-enclosed area and an outdoor promenade. Visitors with any type of disability are able to get to both these areas and enjoy the view. Ramps are pitched properly and doors are automatic to facilitate those using wheelchairs. There are high-powered binoculars that are at a lower level. Accessible restrooms are available throughout the building. 102nd Floor Observatory has a wall, which is 47 inches high, which will obstruct the view for someone sitting in a wheelchair. Measures are being taken to provide them access to the fabulous view. ESB is open 365 days from 8 AM to 2 AM. The staff gets training to help anyone with a disability all through their visit. There are emergency evacuation chairs available which can roll a person with a disability down the stairs in case of an emergency. Where To Wheel Accessibility RatingOverall Rating: Not Rated
