The Charles Bulfinch-designed State House is centrally located in downtown Boston on Beacon Street, at the top of Park Street. It is situated directly across the street from the Boston Common and is easily reached by public transportation or those navigating the city streets on foot. The Ashburton Park entrance of Bowdoin Street is wheelchair accessible.

Parking: HC spots directly across street at parking garage next to Bell and Hand Restaurant. Impossible on street.

Entrance: Double door automatic entrance. Very accessible entrance. Enter at Ashburton Park entrance.

Ramp: Long medium grade ramp leads down to entrance. Huge steep 3 section leads from 3rd floor exit to plaza. Medium grade ramp leads up to security desk.

Elevator: Adequate sized elevator takes you to floors as well as up to plaza.

Seating: Some accessible low tables inside in various places including cafe.

Interior: Very spacious throughout most of building. Tight near security.

Restrooms: Doors opens in. Large accessible stalls. Easy to open. Sinks are at eye level. Very accessible. Semi easy exit door. Most HC amenities.

Very spacious in and out. Staff is very accommodating.
